Suzuki Swift M15A Ignition System

Some of the member's ride having problem on engine idling not stable. When send to diagnose check it shows O2 sensors fault.

However the possible cause is due to Ignition coil unit was faulty.

This happens on car age of 2 years and above.

Just sharing on the Suzuki Swift Ignition System.

My 2006 swift had this problem. Warning light came on for emission styem failure, then went out. Nothing showed up on workshop computer. Car would run ok, but at idle would miss and feel ready to stall. Took many days and several mechanics to find problem with one of two ignition coil assembly shorting out. Very expensive!

Yah the ignition coil is very expensive... cost about RM4xx...
But some member saying it is only due to the ignition spring wear or burned which is inside ignition coil...

I'm going through this problem currently with my Suzuki Swift Z series (sports) 2006 manual. 6 months ago & 3 visits to tell me the emission light was due to o2 sensor. replaced that & car has become worse. now being told it's a faulty coil. I personally think they got it wrong 6 months ago. Hopefully issue is fixed today! I've always taken my car to the same dealership since it was purchased for all servicing. So far it's been 2 replacements of door actuators, 1 electrical module, the o2 sensor, now coil pack + regular bulbs blowing, especially internal bulb. After 6 1/2 years I'm looking at other manufacturers for a new car as I've lost all faith in my Suzuki which I had loved for a small car.
