New 2010 / 2011 Suzuki Swift spyshots

From: TMR The Motor Report

THE CURRENT generation of the Suzuki Swift - available in Australia since 2005 - is reaching the end of its run, and an all-new model is now on the way.
Styling is expected to remain similar to the hugely successful fifth generation Swift, and these new spy photos reveal that development is well underway.
The new Swift is expect to make its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in October next year, with its market debut likely to come in late 2010 or early 2011.
While little of the car’s profile is visible, the heavy cladding down the sides suggests that new styling will appear along the doors and rear quarter panel.
The front of the Swift reveals a little more, with the headlights clearly retaining their current shape, and the area surrounding the grille to take on a hint of the recently revealed 2010 Suzuki Kizashi’s styling.
Still concealed, the side intakes flanking the bottom front intake appear to benefit from a slight update as well.
The sixth generation Swift is expected to be a little larger, and roomier, than the current model.
Little is known about updates to the engine range, although many reports suggest that a diesel engine will be added to the line-up, along with a possible all-wheel-drive system.
A choice of petrol engines is expected to be offered, with output figures ranging from 67kW to 97kW.
Suzuki has sold nearly 60,000 Swifts in Australia, making up nearly 60 percent of the brand’s total sales locally.
